Welcome to My “Fashion” or “Style Blog
Hello! My name is Brian I’m from a small town in southern Arizona close to bordering Mexico and this is my blog about “fashion” and what it says about who you are. I say “fashion” in quotations due to in reality fashion is very subjective especially in my case because I live in such a small town. I don’t consider myself to be someone with much fashion sense nor put myself onto of other but I will critique some trends that personally like and unlike.
The term “hypebeast” is something very very known in the “fashion community”. Hypebeast are those who only wear the most expensive streetwear items and usually they’re outfits are flashy but in reality doesn’t look good. Personally I love the hypebeast style because I find it funny that someone would leave their house with that outfit and also some pieces of the clothing is something that personally I would want not in that fashion sense though. Some brands in this category would be Supreme and Off-White.
The term “Jerry Boy” comes from the brand named Fear of God that was created by Jerry Lorenzo. This style was popularized in 2016. Currently this style is considered dead and when it was popular me personally did not like it. Zipper pants with band tees and flannels got overplayed really fast.
Skater style is probably the oldest from the pack. Skater style has pretty much an influenced in everything and personally is what I wear mostly. This is cropped pants, skate brands pretty basic in my opinion but tasteful.
Honestly I have never tried this but I would love to. What “tech” style is hacker style. All black. Gore-tex. Running shoes. Cargo pants. The only downside to this style is that pieces are super expensive.
The most annoying from the pack. High fashion brands. Quote on Quote is social media famous. These are the people that record their life. They usually have a Balenciaga logo tee, Off-White belt, Louis Vuitton shoulder bag. What I find funny about this style is that they have the most inexpensive looking expensive outfit…
Post #6 “Minimalist”
The most basic yet effective. I see myself also more into this style. Usually wears basic inexpensive clothes, basic colors like whites and blacks. This is honestly how I believe everyone should begin to dress when people are trying to find their style. From here you’ll have all the essentials and can grow your closet from their to what best fits you.
Also known as the “thrifter” is people who only buy in thrift stores. Windbreakers, mom/dad jeans. Usually spend most of their time at their local thrift store. Also everytime you ask them “where did you buy that?” their response is “I don’t know I thrifted it”. They always have something that you had no idea existed.
Instagram bio has “entrepreneur”. Thats all I have to say on that… also for some reason when they take a photo of their outfits which consist of turtle necks, light washed skinny jeans and Stan Smith or Chelsea boots they always have the best outfit shots as if they were taken by a paparazzi.
The whole point of their outfit is their shoes. This person will not only be able to name any pair of sneakers they see they’ll know when the release day was and what the retail and resell price is. The motto to a sneaker head is “one to rock one to stock” which means they buy two pairs of a shoe they like. One pair is so they can wear when they go out and one pair to stock and have it in their shoes collection. Usually it’s an addiction.
This is honestly my least favorite. Usually these are the people that dress too whatever is popular. For the time I am writing this blog the popular trend is the “e” look which consist of stripped long sleeve tees under a baggy death metal band tee with accessories like lock necklas and also chains hanging from their belt loops. They all pretty much look alike not only on how they dress but physically too which is strange.
